Dear Blog,
I am sorry I have abandoned you for so long. I know you have been lonely and have felt unwanted. I promise to visit more often...okay, I don't promise but I will do my best....
Dear My Life,
You are so busy!! You fly by at the blink of an eye. You are so blessed!! The blessings pour in at times I least expect..and they just keep coming!
You are good. No, you are AMAZING! Just when I think you can't get any better..YOU DO!
Life, slow down a little...I want to enjoy every minute of you.
If I made a list of the things I have to be grateful for it would certainly not fit on this page BUT, here are just a few...
the gospel...my wonderful life is what it is because of my testimony and knowledge that God lives and HE knows me by name. He hears and answers my prayers. My children are who they are because of this great blessing in my life! Everyday confirms what I know to be true.
the sweet blessings of the temple. Forever is a mighty long time and I want every millisecond of it to be spent with my family.
my dear and thoughtful husband.
my amazingly talented and fabulous children, who are just about the best human beings I know.
those sweet, tender mercies...you know, the things that you didn't really ask for but just happen and it makes your life a little easier, a little better.
my calling in the Young Womens program. Love it!
my new job. love, LOVE, LOVE it!
my wonderful, ever-so-unselfish, parents.
Chocolate-chip cookies..(okay, it is possible that the remaining items may be food)
mellow pumpkins (like candy-corn but shaped liked pumpkins...a must have every night!)
swedish fish (also every night but I recommend a swig of water in between the pumpkins and fish)
chocolate milk
Bruschetta Boca burgers
Diet Lemonade (from chickfila only!)
Volleyball and the fact that we are now the 2008 County Champs!
Apple cinnamon pug-ins (smells like fall)
The list could go on and on...certainly with more important things than food....but wow, what a life I have! I heard a saying at conference last weekend and I love it
"Learn from the past, prepare for the future, live in the present!!"
That is my hope. I want to learn from the past but leave it in the past. I want to prepare for the future but not be so forward-looking that I miss every awesome moment I am having right here, right now! I want to live in the present...and take it all in. I love you life. You are simply divine!
